Developing Leadership Skills to Better Manage People and Programs
Program Objectives:
The primary objective of the Leadership Extension program is to provide a comprehensive leadership development program that will enable Extension faculty to enhance their abilities to teach youth and adults leadership skills.
Who may apply:
Extension faculty with a minimum of three years of Extension experience (as of the application deadline) who aspires to enhance their leadership skills. Preferences will be given to applicants not currently enrolled in a leadership program.
Length of training:
The program will consist of 4 four-day sessions for a total of approximately 90 hours of training.
Dates and Locations for Class XV:
May 2022 Session 1, College Station
November 2022 Session 2, Louisiana
May 2023 Session 3, Austin
November 2023 Session 4/Graduation, San Antonio
The sessions begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and conclude at 12:00 Noon on Fridays
Cost to participants:
Each participant selected will be required to pay a $600.00 tuition fee. Tuition due by May 1, 2022.
Application procedure:
Leadership Extension application forms should be submitted to your immediate Supervisor for his/her signature. Supervisors should forward all applications to Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz by December 1, 2021. Those selected will be notified by March 1, 2022.
