Developing Leadership Skills
to Better Manage People and Programs
Program Objectives: The primary objective of the Leadership Extension program is to provide a comprehensive leadership development program that will enable Extension faculty to enhance their abilities to teach youth and adults leadership skills.
Who may apply: Extension faculty with a minimum of five years of Extension experience who aspires to enhance their leadership skills. Preferences will be given to applicants not currently enrolled in a leadership program.
Length of training: The program will consist of 4 four-day sessions for a total of approximately 90 hours of training.

May 13-16, 2008 Session 1, College Station
November 18-21, 2008 Session 2, Mexico
May 12-15, 2009 Session 3, Austin
November 17-20, 2009 Session 4/Graduation, San Antonio
Proposed Date and Location for Class IX:
May 18-21, 2010 Session 1, College Station
November 16-19, 2010 Session 2, Mexico
May 17-20, 2011 Session 3, Austin
November 15-18, 2011 Session 4/Graduation, San Antonio
The sessions begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and conclude at 12:00 Noon on Fridays
Cost to participants: Each participant selected will be required to pay a $300.00 tuition fee. Tuition fee is due by May 1, 2010.
Application procedure: Leadership Extension application forms should be submitted to your immediate Supervisor for his/her signature. Supervisors should forward all applications to Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz by December 1, 2009. Those selected will be notified by March 1, 2010.
